Michael P asked:

I’m 18 and trying to build muscle fast. I was recommended to drink whey in beverages. Will this help get results? I know that I have to exercise while I take it. Any one ever try it or use it? Do you recommend it? Right now I have hardly any muscle and I need all the help I can get! Thanks!

proten drinks only help you recover faster. So it’s more of a time saver.

Lots of carbs and lots of exercise. You won’t get big in a week or a month. Make a two year plan, consult an athletic trainer, and stick to it.

Whey’s great essential to build muscle.

And get a can of WHEY protein, not some prepackaged crap with a lotta other stuff in it. Check a Vitamin Shoppe or a GNC.

You dont just have to exercise, you have to lift weights. Chk the link for some routines.

Have a whey shake, 20g of protein, before you lift (if your stomach can handle it) w/slow digesting carbs (20g)-a banana, for instance. and AFTER, IMMEDIATELY AFTER, your workout, have another shake with 20-40 grams of protein FAST carbs, like gatorade.

Too much info? It works. When I first started I added 2 inches to my chest (ie, muscle) in a less than month. You gotta get a good lifting routine, too.

And remeber, you have to eat, eat CLEAN.

A tip, you wanna build some muscle? Get a subscription to Muscle Fitness or Flex. In a year, they’ll touch on all the aspects of proper nutrition exercise. It’s worth it.
