I am 5′9”, and 185lbs. I am starting weightlifting, but I dont know if I should build lean muscle or bulky muscle. I am in cross country, and I would like to start wrestling at my high school next year. Thanks

    Jesus Christ…. there is no bulky or lean muscle. Muscle is muscle, you are lean and ripped when you have low boy fat and gained muscle and you are bulky when you ate a lot gained muscle and gained fat, that’s why the muscles aren’t as defined…

    You want strength; do low reps high weight/intensity. Look up the stronglifts 5×5 as a starting guide. Avoid high reps, low weight; it’s useless for strength.

    Cardiovascular will be very important in wrestling; try some HIIT to improve your VO2 max. Google is your friend.
