    well, its usually one or the other, building muscle, or losing fat. Losing fat requires a calorie deficit. Gaining muscle requires a calorie surplus. When you FIRST start working out however, you will build muscle at first.

    No such thing, If you want to build muscle you will also gain fat, If you wan to burn fat you are also going to burn muscle. Chose one.
