Not sure about the golf part of the question but a diet high in protein low fat can build muscle. sometimes it takes awhile to see results depending on the work out routine you choose.. Don’t go by the scale, Muscle weighs more, go by how you feel and how your cloths fit. And as always check with your Dr. before starting any workout and drastic diet change. Good luck.
