fat comes from more food than activities that burn it off.

building more muscle mass will help burn off fat as the more mass requires food 24/7.

Fat doesnt require anything, just sit around and watch it grow.

So, to lose fat quicker, build for mass, then maintain with more reps. also swearing off those latte’s would be a good idea too.

I actually just built a wep page to answer your question. See

Building muscle will make fat loss easier in the future. Muscle burns calories. That means the more muscle you have, the more calories your body burns. This means easier fat loss for you in the future.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by muscle tone! You can do one of two things. You can build muscle. You can burn fat. You need to choose one of these goals to focus on because doing both at the same time is very tough. If you’re young and not overweight, I would definitely focus on building muscle. Lift heavier weight over time in the muscle buildine rep ranges, eat a calorie surplus so that you gain 1-2 pounds of body weight per week, and you will build muscle. Find a good weight lifting program that helps you lift heavier over time…like the WLC Program.

Many beginners to weight lifting will be able to build muscle and burn fat at the same time, but never try to do both at the same time. When many people try that, they try to not eat too much or too little so they end up staying the same! You don’t want to put in all the hard work and stay the same. So, focus on either fat loss or muscle gain!
