Do aerobic exercise- bike, walk, job, run, stairs etc. The higher the intensity the more lean you will become. How many fat runners do you see?
You only build muscle if you weight lift and even then it’s not as easy as you think.
Dont eat meat or take protein shakes. WOrk out all you want ANY workout is 100% fine. If you eat pure fruits and vegetables you wont gain muscle you will lose weight and become a little more define. Fruits and Vegetables have little or NO protein so you wont build and little or no energy to store as fat. So you will maintain yoru current muscle mass (could lose some but maintain strength)
Fruits And Vegies
No meat or protein drinks.
Lots of water
Oh dosnt matter if you lift heavy or light you cant put on muscle mass if you dont have the protein to do it! The fruit and vegie diet will make sure of that so dont worry about if the work out will cause growth.
Hi – high repetition, low weight bearing exercises and long, slow cardio workouts is the key.
Most of the group fitness classes for girls (such as pump or combat) are based around this idea. Go to a few classes and then just copy what they showed you if you have trouble fitting in with the timetable. A lot of weights require reasonable technique to get anything out of it and avoid injury.
For cardio, bike and a very fast walk on the incline is good, but a bit boring. Take an ipod to make the time go faster – Ideally at least one session of a full hour in a week and one or two shorter ones should do it.
Remember that increasing calorie burn but matching it with intake wont help – keep plenty of carrots celery around to munch on when the hungries start. I also find protein powder good for stopping those times when you are just going to keep eating. This will not build muscle in lower amounts or irregularly.
