Ascoltare La Musica asked:
I have been going to the gym since late February this year, doing weight training, increasing weights, etc, but I still have not had any results. How long is it supposed to be before you see actual results?? I also take protein supplements, but have been doing so for 5-6 weeks, but still with no results. Anyone have any suggestions?? Any PROPER suggestions?
I used to go 4 or 5 times a week, but now I go 3 times, and have soccer training on 2 nights, so I go to the gym Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and soccer training on Tuesday and Thursday.
Also, I weigh 158 pounds, and I am 5’9 in height.

Ok, I’m not expert, so take me with a grain of salt, k? lol But my husband goes to the gym every day, no supplements, and he sees results within a week’s time. What he does is start out with a weight on the lower end of his range and do, say, 12 reps. Then up the weight to the next level and do as many as he can, say, 10. And then he moves up the weight again another small increment (I think like 5 lbs at a time or someting like that) and does another set. Eventually he gets to the high end of his spectrum where he can do, maybe, one rep. And he’s only in the gym for maybe an hour at the very most (on his lunch hour from work). But higher weight, less reps is supposed to build muscle. If you’re doing lower weights and more reps, could be you’re just toning the muscle and not actually building it up.

what works for me is using my own body as resistance. try tai bo. this teaches you to use your own body as weight resistance.

It should only take about a month…How many times do you go to the gym?
last summer I worked out M-F with about 2 hours cardio and I got serious results, Or maybe it was because I weighted like 110 and had nothing to lose lol. now im about 140 and pretty defined.
