If so which ones? I’m in my mid 30’s and just started working out again, and I want to build muscle mass. Am I better off just sticking to the weights without anything or would a supplement help me put on some extra muscle and increase my strength at a greater rate?

Yes they do help. My ex use to use them all the time. Go to the health store and get yourself some powder to mix in with your next shake, the results are amazing. You will actually be able to lift more.
Good Luck.
PS: He use to use Creatine.

They help you a litte, but if you’re not eating a healthy diet and putting enough effort into your workouts then it’s basically useless to use supplements.
Many people think taking a protein shake will get them big but it won’t make a difference if you’re not lifting weights properly and eating enough protein in your other meals
