I have a free gym membership, and I go 3 times a week. However, I’m trying to save money by not eating out. I’m taking pbj sandwiches to work now, but I don’t seem to have the same energy and strength when I get to the gym.

The day before you go to the gym eat more carbohydrates. Fix yourself pasta, have a salad, and anything else with fiber. Your body will convert the food to energy for you to have the next day. If you want to build more protein eat lean meat and you can buy protein bars pretty cheap for like a $1.00 at GNC or any kind of drug store.

I hope you are getting some fruit in your diet to make it balanced. you also need some protein.

Get a book of exercises from the library. Pick some out you like and set a routine to do those you pick out.

Get some BodyFortress Whey Protein at Walmart and a shaker. Drink with milk.

You probably need to consider some protein supplements. These days you can get whey protein dirt cheap. Per gram it’s actually cheaper than most whole foods. Here’s a review of the kind I often recommend to my clients (I’m a trainer):

You can get this at most nutrition stores, but i usually order it online because it’s cheaper, especially if you buy bulk.
